Playing: "Secret Garden" by Gackt Camui.
D/loading: "Nine Spiral" <-- This mp3 is seriously a PITA to d/load.

*stares at last 30 hits* .......It seems everyone is coming from Raga-san's blog. I wonder why......*wanders to Raga-san's blog* (Yes, I blog and surf at the same time.)

*reads....blinks.....brain gears start whirling......enlightment dawns....*

Now playing: Alternating between "Final Shore", "Chain" and "Dance of Curse*

BTW, the supposed " Nine Spiral" ended up sounding like my "Secret Garden" so either one of the mp3 is labelled wrongly and I wasted about another 1 hr online to d/load a track I already have. URGH.

I was watching the news and saw how Erap lawyer Estelito Mendoza tried his
best to "squash" the impeachment complaint (ulimately the Senate decided
against this) ... anyway it just ocurred to me that Mendoza is a dead
ringer for comedian Gilbert Gottfried. This is the guy who played the voice
of the parrot in Aladdin. Swear to God. He even sounds like him. He could
play Mendoza in the movie.

although i don't play tennis ( but i do have plans of joing the company tennis club next year ), i am always glued on TV whenever there's a good play match on ESPN. venus and serena williams are two of the hottest female players on this planet. martina seems to be losing a little of her power steam but i know she will regain the number position. woo! not to forget that yummy anna kurnikova. she's damn good but she hasn't won a major title yet. just like jenny rosales of lpga tour.

alan lightman25 | 22:47 |   |archive

i almost forgot goran ivanisevic. that serbo speaking guy who almost made it to number 1 last year. where the hell is he? haven't heard much of him lately. he's like guga - sometimes ill tempered, they don't mind showing their wackiness and shot heads blowing in front of the tennis crowd. goran. guga. tennis gagos? heheheheh...

alan lightman25 | 22:42 |   |archive

it's guga kuerten versus marat safin for the no.1 position in men's tennis. pete and andre are out. i'll go for guga, that crazy , racket throwing and crowd yellling brazilian. though i find marat's accent amusing.
marat i think is the present and future of professional tennis. he's only 20 and seems that he's following pete sampras' path to greatness. for pete and andre, dudes, it's now time to give those young and aspiring tennisters to show their mark. you've got millions of fat dollars in your bank accounts. enjoy life. go to bahamas . bask under the sun while sipping daiquiris.
by the way..wut the hell happened to marcelo rios and michael chang?

I've now lost so much weight that my ass has - for the first time in my whole entire life - a cottage cheese look and texture to it. < shudders with utter repulsion >

Do any of you have any idea what it's like to know that you can't go to restaurants, people's homes and to the regular grocery store for food? Because if you do go to either of these very normal haunts, you run the risk of putting your life in danger? Just imagine that for a second. See yourself in that senario. Tell me how it looks and feels to you. Well, I do know what that's like. I've been living this reality for three weeks now. I have managed to adjust quite quickly to the organic food lifestyle, but it still gets to me when I'm in the lunchroom like yesterday and someone is eating something I vaguely remember eating without a care in the world just four short weeks ago myself, or like today, going to McD's for a quick bite on a short lunch break only to realize that you can have a total of three things off the menu now. Never mind the food court in the mall across the street one way, or Pizza Pizza across the street the other way. I shall none of that!! Ever. I can't anymore. So, do me a favour and stop to enjoy your real, normal, people, prepackaged, processed food from now on. Think of me every time you stop to eat on the fly anywhere you please. I can't do that anymore, either.

The worst of all this is now I have to learn how to cook, for fuck's sake. Like I don't have enough stress in my life.

if u'll be visiting pnas and have plans of watching late released hollywood movies or pnoy films, i would recommend u to visit this ff cinemas :
sm megamall 10($2 man! cheap man!), glorietta's cinema 4( for regular showings..80-100 pesosessss($1.3 -$2..cool beans!) ,and shangrila edsa's cinemas ( same price as g4's).

alan lightman25 | 01:29 |   |archive

watching movie preems and previews is like attending a film class- people who attend these events are really movie addicts, you would always see them every week lining up outside Megamall's cinema 10 or g4. it's like 'hey it's u again' or ' i think i've seen u b4'. some popular self -confessed film maniacs are lara fabregas and marvin agustin. marvin has his reason to attend those preems; besides that it's free, i think he's preparing himself, somewhat, before he enter UP's films school. i read in a mag that marvin g, passed the UPCAT and he will be taking up either masscom or filmmaking. lara fabregas on the other hand once said that she learns a lot from watching movies. look at her now, she's a damn good actress.

'seems that pinoy movies are doing good this yuletide season. star cinema's kahit isang saglit is a critical and commercial success. rumors say that it broke the record of anak as the top pinoy movie grosser of all time. this week, three good films will be released; chito rono's laro sa baga which is based on edgardo m. reyes' novel, joel lamangan's abandonada which topbills maricel soriano and angelu de leon - this movie is rated B by the film ratings board ( and so as laro sa baga) , and tony carreon's bakit ba ganyan- base on the trailer that i've been seeing on TV, it's romantic comedy film which stars once real life sweethearts vic de leon and dina bonnevie who are trying to renew their love for each other (real to reel..reel to real). this movie is a big u-turn on vic's part who was relegated before in doing slapsticks. this time he tried drama and light comedy.
'looked like my weekends will be spent at glorietta for the next 4 weeks...

alan lightman25 | 01:03 |   |archive

it's 1244 in the morning and i'm still up! i've just finished reading edgardo reyes' laro sa baga. damn! reyes is a fucking and frigging (wut's frigging?) genius. this novel is on film now and will be shown tomorrow i think. nah! today! chito rono megged the film and i'm damn sure it will be a sure blockbuster knowing that ara 'the bombshell' is also in the movie.

pinoy comedies really suck. although there were few exceptions like abangan ang susunod na kabanata and mongolian barbecue - the rest are either crap or rotten vegetables. in singapore, comedy sticoms dominate the tv ratings. doing sitcoms in singapore is a well collaborated one. they pool in the best writers, director, movie equipment and stuffs. 'money' which topbills donita rose is using 35 mm film camera , not the video type thing. i'm still waiting for the time wherein watching pnoy sitcoms will be a weeklly must to see one. when..when when..charo santos? vic del rosario?

Well, its pretty obvious that America isn't going to settle who won the presidential election anytime soon. So, in the mean time, I give you some quotes from the man I think will be President of the United States of America.

from neal cruz's pdi column...

President Estrada will be tried and judged by the senators. But whom will the people try and judge? The senators.

Yes, the senators, especially the Erap 8 (Miriam Defensor-Santiago, Francisco Tatad, Tessie Aquino-Oreta, John Osmeņa Juan Ponce Enrile, Gringo Honasan, Blas Ople and Tito Sotto) may be able to save Erap from being kicked out of Malacaņang but they should not forget that the people will be watching the impeachment trial. And the people were not born yesterday. They know if certain senators are biased in favor of Erap and whether or not the evidence warrants his conviction. Nobody can stop a senator from voting to acquit Erap even if the evidence proves that he is as guilty as sin. The prosecution cannot appeal a wrongful decision to the Supreme Court, but there is a higher body that will mete justice to the senators, if not to Erap--the people.

Three or four of the Erap 8 will be running for reelection next year. The voters should punish them by dumping them in the kangkungan. The other four will run in the 2004 elections; remember their names and dump them, too. If they run for other positions, vote for their rivals even if their rivals are dogs. If they are appointed to top government positions, oppose their confirmation in the Commission on Appointments. Just as Erap, if he is guilty, should not be let off the hook easily, the senators should also be punished if they break their oath to render justice fairly in the impeachment trial.

It would set a bad example to future public officials if they get off easily. Graft and corruption has gotten worse because the Marcoses are getting off easily. We are showing the people that in the Philippines, crime pays.

still remember the human genome mapping thingie that bill clinton announced few months ago? let's zoom forward to the future and pretend what will be the scenarios if that human map was successfully laid out. aging will be controlled since they can now determine the tiniest part of our body which causes wrinkling of our skin and defragmentation of our bones. dinosaurs can also be cloned and expect future zoo names : Galapagos Dino Zoo or Calauit Jurassic Park. more on cloning : we could re-create back to life some of the greatest humans that ever lived. i'll go back to college if jose rizal and albert einstein will be roaming the ateneo and MIT campuses.

maryo j delos reyes' latest film, gusto ko ng lumigaya, exceeded all of my expectations - the movie is damn good! known for squeezing out the best from his actors , maryo
did it again here with noteworthy performances from albert martinez as the corrupt public official , bojo molina as the troubled gay, and allyson IV as the callboy lover of bojo. not to forget the effective potrayal of john arcilla, though only a bit role, as an investigator. it's a fast paced movie and those flashback scenes though done before was made fresh and fascinating by the editors. lualhati bautista's screenplay is almost flawless except that of one line when albert's dad announced his re-election for congress -" gusto kong iannounce sa inyo ang aking re-election sa congress " which is contextually wrong. he hasn't won a congress seat yet, then why is he announcing his reelection?
the visuals were great and shot in a way that they are integral to the plot being conveyed.
the major setbacks in the film are pops fernandez and diether ocampo. pops didn't manage to show the real emotions her character should potray as she struggled in every scene she did in the film. and with ocampo, ABS-CBN's talent center still hasn't nurtured the thespic abilities of this young actor. deo edrinal should enroll his talent in more workshops to get rid of his mumbling way of delivering lines and overacting.
despite it's flaws, maryo j. deserves an accolade for megging this film.

The Edsa rally was a political rally!

They could not fools me.

At alam ko na rin ang nagkakalat ng mga kabastusan sa akin!

"This is the handiwork of big capitalists in Makati who contributed money to the rally. They have press relations firms to put out messages on the Internet and text-messaging networks."

There is no end at all to the travails of citizens of the republic of banana. Now, all the banana tress will be knocked down, just like the Erap administration. Political allies of the President have been abandoning the beleaguered scandal-ridden presidency of the former B-movie actor.

Surfing still prohibited at the South Expressway. Defective construction and design have left many a road in the metropolis (ok, ok ALL of the roads of the metropolis in a mess). However, local governments till prohibit avid surfers from taking advantage of the five-ten foot waves to "hang ten".
